The Oceanscan Group, headquartered in Aberdeen UK, operates from additional locations Lowestoft, Beccles, Cannock and Inverurie. Internationally, Oceanscan has bases in Houston USA and in Singapore.
Since its inception in 1989, Oceanscan has acquired Sercal Non Destructive Test Equipment Ltd. plus HPR (UK) and Geoforce Technical Services Ltd. was established to serve the geotechnical markets.
The Group supplies advanced Subsea and NDT equipment for customers in the oil and gas, aerospace, automotive, petrochemical, renewables, defence, railway, and nuclear industries as well as subsea equipment for hydrographic applications, ROV operations, and the renewables market.
Sercal was the first calibration laboratory to obtain the coveted UKAS accreditation in the UK. Now with two laboratories in the UK accredited to the International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by UKAS. In our laboratories we can calibrate UT, Eddy Current, and Phased Array instruments as well as the Lizard AC Field Measurement system plus repair a wide range of equipment - in line with our accreditations and to manufacturers’ standards.
GeoForce provides specialised subsea geotechnical services including cone penetrometer test systems, winches, and associated equipment operated by our experienced personnel.
In 2021 Oceanscan acquired HPR (UK), a specialised personnel business that complements our existing personnel division. The addition of HPR (UK) broadened and strengthened Oceanscan’s ability to support our clients’ requirements for skilled technical personnel across a wide range of disciplines.

Established in 2017 Geoforce provides in depth experience to the Geotechnical market by providing robust, high quality Marine Geotechnical Equipment and experienced personnel to our clients.
