Oceanscan is a leading international equipment, services and personnel company providing the very latest and most advanced technology to the oil and gas, defence, petrochemical, renewables and nuclear industries as well as supplying personnel. Established in 1989, it is now a Group of companies comprising Sercal NDT Ltd, GeoForce Technical Services Ltd. and HPR (UK) in the United Kingdom (UK).


From its UK headquarters in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen and the Orbis Energy Centre, Lowestoft in the UK, and with premises in Houston, Texas USA and latest in Singapore, we are supported by worldwide network of partner supplier companies, Oceanscan offers a 24/7 service to our customers. In 2024, we will move to a new, larger facility in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.


We supply advanced hydrographic survey equipment, ROV Sensors, non-destructive testing and inspection systems to more than 1000 customers throughout the world.

Oceanscan is also a key supplier of personnel to the offshore survey and ROV markets. We can supply one person or complete teams of surveyors, engineers, ROV pilots, deck crew and project managers for short or long-term placements. We liaise with contractors and personnel from our legacy Personnel Office in Lowestoft and from our acquired company HPR (UK) in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. In 2024, we will also be able to supply personnel from a range of Non-Destructive Testing qualifications.


We help our customers in finding the best and most suitable equipment and personnel for their applications to insure they meet stringent requirements set by the end-clients.  


Oceanscan operates a quality system which is registered to ISO 9001:2015 and is accredited by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. We are proud members of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA)and the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) and Global Underwater Hub (GUH) in the UK.

This Quality Assurance Manual sets down the method of application of such a policy. Compliance with its provisions is an obligation upon all personnel.

Safety requirements will be rigorously complied with and it is the responsibility of company management to ensure that all personnel are fully aware of all safety requirements.

The Managing Director bears the responsibility for implementing and maintaining this Quality Policy at all levels throughout the Company.
